Through extensive research, we found that a 3-Stream waste separation system is by far the most widely used in North America and produces the highest rates of diversion from landfill. Although this system is not used everywhere, it is common in Nova Scotia, Prince-Edward-Island, Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia. The widespread use of 3-Stream and its proven success made us confident this was the right system for our region. This program makes solid waste management in Southeastern NB easier, better, more sustainable and more efficient now and in the future.
