Pet waste is preferred in the clear Garbage bag but will be accepted in the green Organics bag on off-weeks as long as there is no plastic attached. This includes dog poop, cat litter, hamster bedding, bird bedding, etc. For example, dog poop may go in the organics bag as long as it is either loose, without a plastic bag, or tied up in a certified compostable/biodegradable bag. For cat litter, it may go in the organics bag as long as there is no plastic liner bag attached. Pet pee pads are not acceptable in the organics bag, they must go in the garbage bag because of the plastic attached.
